You work alongside a professional crew leader restoring habitat, reducing fire fuel, cleaning shorelines and maintaining public lands across the county. In 2024-25, corpsmembers logged 117,077 paid hours.
Some crews take on fire work too. In 2024-25, 15 corpsmembers earned S212 chainsaw certification, and crews helped communities recover after wildfires.
John Muir Charter School teaches on site, with a certified teacher. You can enroll at any time, so there is no term to wait for, and you finish the credits you are missing while you keep working and getting paid.
